Introduction

Akbash dogs are one of the best breed of dogs. I own an akbash and rotti mix and he is HUGE! I love to play fight with him because he gets excited and burns lots of energy ;).... it helps keep him calm after a long day of being locked in a house. The primary focus of this blog is to share my knowledge and experience with my half Akbash dog.

In general this type of dog is amazing and obedient. He watches over my two other dogs and acts as a protector to the home. He loves to run off the leash in parks and wrestle other dogs to the ground. A lot of the characteristics he displays are explained in any typical Akbash breed definition. I will try not to make this blog too much of a regurgitation of what is already out their regarding this breed.

For a visualization I have linked a video I found that resembles my dog. Basically, put both dogs in this video into one breed and you have my dog... Enjoy ;)

    i had 2 perbredd Akbash Dogs growing up as a kid. they were awesome. i remember ridding on Annie back from one side of the farm to the other. Huksly was the other...he was full of energy. i miss them both.

    Love these Types of dogs. They are great house pets as well as guard dogs Police dogs and Many other service dogs. good job on picking a smart dog to do a blog on :)

    I have a hunting dog named cadence. she's a German shorthair pointer...i love play fighting with her but she NEVER runs out of energy. She still acts like a puppy and all she wants to do is play and she can't sit still. My dad always makes fun of me cuz I have adhd and have trouble staying still too he says that she is me in dog form... What's worse is she used to have the same name as me but when we got her we had it changed. Unfortunatelwe mom and I let my dad and little bro pick her name and now her official name it Cadence Go Bears Packers Suck......anyways, My dad says that when she's hunting though she is still, quite and extremely obedient which is hard to believe because after they get back from hunting she is still just as energetic as when she left.
